Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG)
2nd International Meeting
The focus of the Meeting is Prevention, Screening and Risk Prediction in Women’s Health.
Two and a half days of presentations by the world-leading experts in the field will culminate in a half-day panel discussion. The panels will consist of Invited Speakers, as well as eminent representatives of several other parties concerned with women’s healthcare provision and research.
By the close of the meeting a consensus will be reached in the following key areas:
| • |
Unmet needs in prevention, screening and risk prediction and how to address them |
| • |
Bringing research to life: a 5-year roadmap |
| • |
Impact of new technologies and strategies on women’s health and society as a whole |
The Meeting will provide a platform for debate on some of the issues at the very core of women’s health research and clinical practice, and the consensus statement from the panel discussion will be highly influential in determining the directions in the field in the forthcoming years. The broad approach will bring together several related specialties, whereas limiting the scope to Prevention, Screening and Risk Prediction will on the other hand facilitate a focused and dynamic meeting, leading to a concrete set of outcomes.
Both the presentations and panel discussion will be organised according to the following four themes: Cancer, Fetal & Neonatal, Obstetrics, Reproductive Health &Cross-disciplinary. Delegates are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations under specific themes.
